Leo Earl DuBose, 86, of Jackson died Aug. 29, 2008 in an area hospital.

He was born June 11, 1922. He graduated from Jackson High School. He attended Livingston University. He studied hospital administration through Columbia University. He was a retired hospital administrator from Leaksville Hospital in Leaksville, Miss.

He was a World War II veteran having

served in the

European Theatre with the Army Signal Corp. He was part owner of DuBose Motor Service with his dad and retired after 28 years of hospital and nursing home administration.

Survivors include his wife, Clara O'Gwynn DuBose, Jackson; one brother, Arnell (Hannelore) DuBose, Mobile; one sister, Betty (Bert) Coleman, Grove Hill; numerous nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Mattie E. and Leo DuBose of Jackson, a brother Fred DuBose of Jackson and a sister, Marguerite Chapman Deyo of Grove Hill.

The service was Sept. 1 at 2:30 p.m. at Lathan Funeral Home chapel in Jackson with Rev. Scott Armstrong officiating. Burial was in Trinity Memorial Gardens in Jackson.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
