Ethel Louise Alston Kilpatrick, 97, of Jackson died Aug. 31, 2008 at her residence.
She was born July 20, 1911. She was a graduate of Harper High School in Jackson. She was also a graduate of Alabama State University where she graduated with honors. She was a member of the St. Union Missionary Baptist Church in Jackson where she served in the missionary society. She was a retired educator from the Clarke County School System after more than 28 years of service.
Survivors include her husband, Elder Curtis H.B. Kilpatrick Sr., Jackson; one brother, Willie (Willodean) Alston, Toddtown; one son, Curtis (Emily) Kilpatrick Jr., Detroit, Mich.; one sister-inlaw, Carrie Alston; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
The service was Sept. 6 at 11 a.m. at St. Union Baptist Church in Jackson with Rev. James Howard officiating. Burial was in the House of Prayer Missionary Cemetery in Alma. Jackson Memorial Funeral Home directed.
