Bryant Elijah Jordan, 84, of Grove Hill died Sept. 9, 2008 at his residence.

He was born Aug. 29, 1924. He was a World War II veteran having served in the United States Army. He fought in the Battle of the

Bulge. He was a member of the

Grove Hill Baptist

Church. He was a retired school teacher having taught at Tate High School in Cantonment, Fla.

Survivors include one brother, Milton L. Jordan, Panama City, Fla.; one sister, Bernice J. Causey, Jackson.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jesse Ray Jordan and Claude Jordan; three sisters, Juanita Sutton, Earkine Williams and Louise Jordan.

The service was Sept. 12 at 11 a.m. at the Grove Hill Baptist Church. Burial was in the Grove Hill Cemetery. Lathan Funeral Home of Grove Hill directed.

Active pallbearers were Billy Black, Ray Jordan, David Ray Jordan, Tony Horton, Torey Horton and Daniel Fuller.
