He was a native of Mobile. He was a member of Holmes Street Missionary Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He had worked for Ingalls Shipbuilding.
Survivors include his wife of more than 50 years, Para Lee Martin of Prichard; one son, Michael Kidd, Fulton; three sisters, Lenora Winston, Prichard, Centilla Stokes, Lou Tarver, both of Chicago, Ill.; one granddaughter; three great-grandchildren.
The service was Oct. 25 at 11 a.m. at Holmes Street Missionary Baptist Church in Prichard. Burial was in Rising Sons Cemetery. Reese Funeral Home on Bessemer Avenue in Prichard directed.
