Jerry Allen Ludeman, 60, of Vineland died Oct. 30, 2008 after a long battle with multiple sclerosis and a hard fight with cancer.
He was born Aug. 27, 1948. He was a native of Thomasville. He was a 1967 graduate of Marengo County High School in Thomaston where he was a star athlete. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Vineland where he served as treasurer of the cemetery committee. He was a retired electrician after 23 years of service with McMillan Bloedel Inc. in Yellow Bluff. He was a long time cattle rancher.
Survivors include his wife, Grace Paparella Ludeman, Vineland; one son, Brandon (Tanya) Ludeman, Vineland; one daughter, Valerie (Mike) Atkins, Dothan; one brother, Dwain (Donna) Ludeman, Snellville, Ga.; four grandchildren, Tyler Ludeman, Tristan Abston, Teran Jimmerson, all of Vineland, Evan Atkins, Dothan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Harold and Frances Criswell Ludeman.
A memorial service was Nov. 1 at 6 p.m. at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville with Rev. John Averitt officiating.
