Card of Thanks
Until we can thank all of you personally, may we take this means of extending our deep appreciation for the many kindnesses shown in our recent sorrow at the death of Benjamin Watson Dunn. Perhaps you sent a lovely card, or sat quietly with Mother or one of us. Perhaps you sent beautiful flowers. There were so many of them at the service. Perhaps you provided food for our family during this time. Perhaps you wrote or spoke the kindest words any friend could say. Perhaps you prayed for us. Whatever you did to console our hearts, we are thankful for whatever your part.
We would like to extend our gratitude to the members of Grove Hill Police Department, Clarke County Dispatch, Jets Ambulance Service, Lifeflight, and USA Medical Center. The quick response of Grove Hill Policemen Mike Fleming and Royce Kelley enabled Scott Flach and Kay Capps of Jets to understand the seriousness of Daddy's condition. They contacted Lifeflight and had the helicopter in route before the ambulance arrived at Daddy's house. Keith Knight, Donna Oshann, and Todd Tolbert were able to transport Daddy to USA Medical Center within an hour of his falling.
We appreciate the meaningful service led by Pastor Lee Merck. Christie Merck thrilled our hearts with "The Thousand Years." We are grateful to Catherine Harper for playing songs that soothed our spirits. We give a special thanks to the Grove Hill Baptist Church for the delicious evening meal. A final thanks goes to Lathan Funeral Home for their compassionate assistance.
