Old CCHS cafeteria bites the dust

The old cafeteria at Clarke County High School was demolished last week in preparation for the construction of a new band room on the site. The new CCHS building contains a new and modern cafeteria. Plans are also on the board to soon demolish the old CCHS building, constructed in 1936. The site will be developed into a parking lot. Some people have wondered if the old building could be saved but it looks like it is still on schedule to be torn down. See more on the new school on the CCHS school page inside. Photo by Barry H.
