Coffeeville retirees honored

A reception Sunday at the Coffeeville Town Hall honored retiring Coffeeville Postmaster Linda Mosley and Sam and Mary Alice Shields, longtime local merchants who have sold their business, Shields Feed and Supply, effective later this month. Coffeeville Mayor Faye Cotten, left, presented the honorees with plaques of appreciation and thanked them for their service. Mosley, who lives in Salitpa, is retiring after over five years at the Coffeeville Post Office and over four years as postmaster. She's been with the U.S. Postal Service for 24 years. Sam Shields has been in business in Coffeeville for 48 years. The business is being sold to Roy and Janelle Campbell. Photo by Jim Cox
