Read Romans 13:1

A pastor overslept and was speeding to church when a trooper stopped him. He started to give him a sob story, but the officer was unimpressed.

"Reverend," he said, "how would you like to hear a sermon on the evils of speeding?"

"I don't mind the sermon," he replied, "but skip the collection."

Pastors and laymen, saints and sinners, all must give an account to the law and the Lord.

It's the duty of the government to make it difficult for people to do wrong, and it's the duty of the godly to make it easy for people to do right.

The Bible says, "Obey the government, for God is the one who has put it there."

Prayer: We come to Thee, Father, wholly and happily. Purge our hearts from those things which are alien to Thy will: in Thy name. Amen.
