Democrat enacts new policies for printing weddings effective Jan. 1

The Clarke County Democrat is imposing new guidelines for wedding publications effective Jan. 1, 2008.

Wedding articles should be submitted within four weeks of the wedding to be published without charge along with a photograph. Articles should be 500 words or less. There will be a cost for wedding writeups that are longer than 500 words in length or that are published past the four-week deadline.

Write-ups of showers and wedding parties should be submitted for publication as they occur. They will not be published with the wedding article.

All submissions must fit The Democrat's writing style in order to be published without cost.
