Pugh

Myrtis Bumpers Pugh, 102, of Aberdeen, MD, died Jan. 3, 2008 at Harford Medical Center in Havre de Grace, MD.

She was born Sept. 15, 1905 to the parentage of Curtis and Edna Bumpers. She was a lifelong resident of Grove Hill until moving to Maryland five years ago with her daughter. She was a member of Mt. Zion #2 Missionary Baptist Church of Grove Hill. After moving to Aberdeen, she united with Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Pugh (Johnny) Law, Aberdeen, MD; one brother, R.J. (Delia Mae) Bumpers, Winn; two grandchildren, Derricke A. (Ondrea) Law and Darnevy A. (Yolanda) Law; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

The service will be Saturday, Jan. 12 at 11 a.m. at the Mt. Zion #2 Missionary Baptist Church of Grove Hill with Rev. Cory Pruitt officiating. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Walter Mission Church Cemetery in Zimco. Andrews Funeral Home of Jackson will direct.
