Morgan

Beatty Wynn Morgan Sr., 73, of Thomasville died Jan. 2, 2008 at Garfield Memorial Hospital in Panguitch, Utah.

He was born March 3, 1934 in Sunny South. He was a member of Sunny South Baptist Church. He was a member of the VFW Post #5106 in Thomasville. He was a truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Knight Morgan, Thomasville; three sons, Beatty Wynn Morgan Jr., Manchester, MO, Thomas Wayne Morgan, Covington, LA, Robert Shane Morgan, Thomasville; one daughter, Karen Grochowski, Sweet Water; 16 grandchildren.

The service was Jan. 8 at 2 p.m. in O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville with Revs. Warren Huggins and Rex Jackson officiating. Burial was in the Sunny South Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Alabama State Troopers.

Honorary pallbearers were members of the VFW Post #5106.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Sunny South Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
