Commissioners honor area football teams
The Clarke County Commission honored three area high school football teams Tuesday with resolutions proclaiming their winning seasons. In the top left photo Commissioner Rhonel Rhone congratulated Clarke County High School Head Football Coach Allan Floyd. The Bulldogs had their first ever perfect regular season, won the county and region championship and had 12 wins for the first time in school history. In the center photo Commissioner Elma Averett congratulated Clarke Prep head Football Coach Billy Hamilton. The Gators won their region title and advanced to the semi-finals in Class AAA of the AISA this season. In the right photo Commissioner Paul Bradford congratulated Thomasville High School Head Football Coach Jack Hankins. Thomasville won their region championship and advanced to the semi-finals for the fourth straight season.
