Pre-orders of Girl Scout cookies have begun

Pre-orders for Girl Scout cookies in 2008 will run through Jan. 27. Cookie deliveries will be made from Feb. 12 to 16. Booth sales in Clarke County will run from Feb. 17 to March 16. Scouts like the girls from Thomasville (above) will be selling cookies in front of grocery stores and retail shops. Cookie flavors this year include Thin Mints, Samoas, All Abouts, Do-Si-Dos, Tagalongs, Trefoils, Lemon Chalet Cremes and Sugar-free Chocolate Chip cookies. Proceeds from the cookie sales benefit troops in Clarke County. Individual scouts may use money to pay for a trip, put toward resident camp fees or donate to a local charity.
