Harrison

John Turner Harrison Jr., 76, of Jackson died Jan. 13, 2008 at Jackson Medical Center.

He was born May 30, 1931. He was an automotive salesman with Pearce Motor

Company for over 35 years before

becoming

owner/agent with Harrison & Harrison Insurance & Realty with his son, Shawn E. Harrison. He was a past member of the Clarke County Cattlemen's Association and the local VFW. He was an avid horseman, cattleman and hunter. He was S/SGT. with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Faye Chastain Harrison, Jackson; one son, Shawn H. (Alicia) Harrison, Jackson; one daughter, Suzzane H. (Tom) Noble, Jackson; one brother, Ted P. Harrison, Brundidge; one sister, Betty H. Hall, Jackson; four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Z. Trice Harrison.

The service was Jan. 15 at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Jackson. Burial was in the Trinity Memorial Gardens in Jackson. Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson directed.

Active pallbearers were Tim Harrison, Chess Bowerman, Scottie Chastain, Steve Harrison, David Harrison, Johnny Harrison, who are all nephews of Mr. Harrison, Clint O'Gwynn and Wayne Ramey.
