Magnolia Woman's Club holds meeting

The Southern Magnolia Woman's Club held its annual business meeting Thursday, Jan. 10 at the home of Sue Duke.

Old business discussed included a delivery date for ferns which club members will sell once again to raise funds for community projects.

New club officers were nominated and approved and will be installed in May.

Members voted to make a donation to Pilots for Christ and have a resolution published in memory of recently deceased member and club treasurer Shirley Wright.

Club members decided which local organizations to support with monetary donations this year and how much to donate.

The business meeting was adjourned with the reading of the club collect and members enjoyed refreshments prepared by hostesses Sue Duke, Nancy Waller and Virginia Wiggins.
