GHES students learn Alabama folk songs

Storyteller Wanda Johnson (left in the top right photo) and folklorist Joyce Cauthen appeared Jan. 17 at Grove Hill Elementary School as part of the "Bullfrog Jumped Tour." The students heard classic children's folksongs, many which were sung before the Civil War. The songs are featured on a "Bullfrog Jumped" CD, which is on sale at the Clarke County Historical Museum.
