Career opportunities on display at Jackson 'Parents Night'

A "Parents Night" job fair was held Jan. 24 at Jackson High School. The job fair featured booths from area industries such as Boise, Gulf Lumber (top right photo) and Ciba (bottom left photo) and colleges such as Alabama Southern (middle photo) and Bishop State. Bradley Byrne, chancellor of two-year colleges in Alabama, spoke to the gathering. He was thanked and presented with a gift by Marty Parker of Boise and the current president of the Clarke County Board of Education (left in top left photo). Dr. John Johnson (below) announced that approximately 800 area high school students will visit ASCC in Thomasville Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 for an Advanced Technology and Technical Careers Fair.
