New scholarships available in guidance office
By Jake Paul Special To The Democrat

The guidance office has been very busy lately with scholarship deadlines approaching. Several new scholarships are available in Ms. McIntyre's office for interested seniors.

The guidance department has recently teamed up with Career Cruising and www.careercrusing. com to better help students plan for their future. This program helps students find careers that match their interests by using Career Matchmaker, the world's best online career assessment tool.

Students can also learn about hundreds of different careers by checking out multimedia interviews with real people. Students can search for schools that offer the education and training they need and can find financial aid programs to help achieve their goals. By using this program, students can keep track of career exploration activities and create resumes.

If students or parents are interested in this site, they must contact Ms. Brenda McIntyre for the username and password.
