Robinson

James Edward Robinson, 58, of Atlanta, Ga. Died Jan. 22, 2008 at his residence.

He was born Nov. 28, 1949. He was a native of Jackson. As a child he attended Mt. Sinia #1 Baptist Church. He was educated in the Clarke County School System and continued his education at Carver State in Mobile where he received a certificate in welding. He had worked with Bell South for 18 years prior to establishing his own business, Robinson Fabricated Welding.

Survivors include his former wife, Sandra Hill, Decatur, Ga.; two sons, Charles Patrick, Decatur, Ga., Lonnie Gray, Jacksonville, Fla.; one daughter, Stephanie Clark, Decatur, Ga.; parents, Calvin Sr. and Roberta Robinson, Jackson; three brothers, Eddie Earl Robinson, Calvin Robinson III, both of Decatur, Ga., Henry Lee Robinson, Atlanta, Ga.; six sisters, Gladys Marie Robinson, Rhonda Yvette Robinson, both of Decatur, Ga., Lisa Anita (Waudell) Tucker, Belinda M. (Marcus) Kelley, Shonda Evette Bass, all of Jackson, Dangale Catina (Lamartine) Meda, Auburn; seven grandchildren.

The service was Jan. 26 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Sinia #1 Baptist Church with Revs. Terrence Fleeton and Marcus and Belinda Kelley officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Sinia #1 Baptist Church Cemetery. Andrews Funeral Home of Jackson directed.
