Lady Bulldogs earn 20th victory
      The Clarke County High School Lady Bulldogs closed out the regular season by beating the Lady Aggies of Jackson High School 70-59 last Saturday night in Grove Hill. The win improved their record to 20-5 as they prepare to host the Class 3A Area 1 tournament this week.

Bulldogs have no trouble with JHS
      The fourth ranked Clarke County High School Bulldogs ran past the Aggies of Jackson High School 71-58 last Saturday night in Grove Hill. It gave the Bulldogs a perfect record against in-county teams as they have beaten Thomasville three times, the Aggies twice and Coffeeville once.

      The Clarke Prep School Gators baseball and softball teams will be having their Hit-a-Thon this Saturday. The junior high will begin at 11 a.m. and the varsity will follow after that. The Old Timer's Game is slated to start at 1 p.m.

     Katie Skipper, of Grove Hill, killed this 150 pound 8-point. It was her very first deer! She killed it on the last day of the season. She is the daughter of Shae and Gray Skipper.

Youth drops hog, deer
     Logan Lyles, 10-year-old son of Nekol and Jeff O'Bryant, and the late Kevin Lyles, killed his first spike while hunting the last weekend of the season. He also killed a hog during the week while hunting with his uncle, Rodney Harrison, in Washington County.

     Cameron Gates, 8-years-old, killed his first deer Saturday, Jan. 19 while he was hunting with his Uncle Jason Garrick. The deer was killed in the Gosport area. Cameron is the grandson of Steve and Linda Bumpers.
