Bulldogs have no trouble with JHS
It gave the Bulldogs a perfect record against in-county teams as they have beaten Thomasville three times, the Aggies twice and Coffeeville once. Senior post-player Kenneth Kimbrough owned the paint in the game as he scored 27 points. He also had 10 rebounds. Deforest Taite added 17 points, three steals and three assists. Justin Burroughs had nine points and four rebounds. Jeffery Mc- Connell added nine points. Jackson was paced by Corey Besteda's 23 points. B.J. Brown had 11 points. Last Friday CCHS took to the road and beat Thomasville 63- 56, for the third time in six days. Taite led CCHS with 25 points and eight rebounds. Burroughs added 13 points, five rebounds and three assists. Dwayne Owens chipped in 10 points and had six rebounds. Kimbrough added six points and eight rebounds. Corey Marshall led Thomasville with 17 points. Alex Buford and M. Watters each had nine points. The Bulldogs will be hosting the Class 3A Area 1 Tournment this week with Washington County playing Mobile Christian Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. Monday night CCHS plays the winner of that game at 7:30.
The winner and the runner-up adavnce to play in the sub-state round of the playoffs.
