GH Dixie Leagues elect officers, set registration dates

The Grove Hill Dixie Youth leagues held their membership meeting last Thursday night and the officers as well as the board of directors were chosen at the meeting.

Chris Newton is the new league president. Allen Jordan is the vice-president. Wylynn Dunigan is the secretary/treasurer. Gary Pickard is the equipment manager. Kate Jordan is the softball player agent.

The new board of directors is Mark Newsom, James Shamburger, Dewayne Huggins, Bubba Smith and Johnny Sales.

The new officers set the cost of registration at $45 per child and announced the dates of Feb. 19, 21 and 23 as the dates to register players.

Opening Day was set for April 12 and try-outs have been tentitvely scheduled for March 1.
