Mt. Zion No. 2 Baptist Church of Grove Hill will sponsor a marriage and singles banquet to be held at the Preschool Unlimited (Old Skating Rink) in Jackson Saturday, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. The guest speaker will be Pastor Effelle Williams of Selma. Tickets are $25 for couples and $15 for singles. Rev. Cory J. Pruitt is the pastor. St. Luke Youth Day St. Luke Baptist Church of Grove Hill will have its annual Youth Day Program Sunday, Feb. 17 at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Robert Jackson is the pastor. Revival set for tabernacle A revival featuring Prophetress Ramona Armstead will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 17 and 22 at Inspirational Tabernacle COGIC in Jackson. Host pastor is Beverly Jackson. Mackey Branch ordination service Mackey Branch No. 2 Baptist Church of Whatley will have an Ordination Service for Rev. James Barganier Sunday, Feb. 24 at 2:30 p.m. Sis. Ethel Evans is the secretary. Lily Baptist Church pastor's Aide Day The Lily Baptist Church of Fulton will have its Pastor's Aide Day Sunday, March 2 at 2:30 p.m. The special guest will be The Voices of Harmony of Grove Hill. The guest speaker will be Rev. Clabon Autry, associate minister at New Greater First Baptist along with the choir of Thomasville. Sis. Marie Calhoun is the sponsor. Rev. Wiley McMillan is the pastor. Family and Friends Program in Dickinson A Family and Friends Program will be held at 2 p.m. on March 9 at Truvine Baptist Church in Dickinson, Ala. The speaker for the occasion will be Rev. Richard Davis of Mt. Vernon. There is also a Spring Revival planned for 7 p.m. on March 26-28 with speaker Rev. Clayton Davis, Jr. Church of Jesus Christ looking for building Church of Jesus Christ would like to announce to the Grove Hill and Thomasville areas the beginning of a new church, the Church of Jesus Christ. At the present time members are seeking a building to hold its services in. One of the ministers who lives in Thomasville has opened his home for Bible studies or home services. Forest Springs seeking donations Forest Springs Baptist Church of Morvin has changed the homecoming date from the second Sunday in August to the second Sunday in October. Information is needed on the cemetery records and unmarked graves. The church roof leaks and needs to be replaced with a metal roof. Any information and all donations would be greatly appreciated. Bible study at Fulton Baptist The First Baptist Church of Fulton located at 949 Highway 178 will be studying the Book of Revelation on Sunday nights beginning at 5 p.m. Dr. John Copeland, pastor, will be leading the study.
