Both CCHS teams advance to regionals

      The Clarke County High School Bulldogs advanced to their second straight South regional tournament in Troy as they beat the visiting Bulldogs of Pike County 78-47 last Friday night in Grove Hill. CCHS jumped out to a 32-11 first quarter lead as they cruised to the victory.

Mozingo to push for point's title

      You could easily say racing for Jamie Mozingo is a family affair. It was his father, Ike, who got him started in the sport just a few years ago. "My father went to the short tracks and dirt tracks to watch races," Jamie said. "One day he came back and wanted me to go and watch one of the races.

CPS baseball, softball season starts Thursday
     The Clarke Prep School baseball and softball teams start the season Thursday as they will be hosting their annual tournament. The Gators will play Hooper at 3:30 while the Lady Gators meet Tuscaloosa at 1:30. Games will continue the rest of the day on Thursday and begin again on Saturday at 10 a.m.

Bulldogs fall in season diamond opener
     The Clarke County High School baseball team traveled to Monroeville Monday afternoon and dropped a 9-7 contest to Monroe County.
