Head-on collision injures two in Jackson
A head-on collision on Forest Avenue between Cedar and Midway streets in Jackson, Tuesday, Feb. 19, around 6:10 p.m. sent two people to the hospital. According to Jackson Police reports, Eugene Washington, 53, of Jackson was the driver of a 2000 Ford F-150 Pickup (below), which collided with a 1998 Ford Mustang (top) driven by Richegetta E. Jackson, 21, of Frisco City. Washington, who was headed south on Forest Avenue, attempted to make a left-hand turn into a private parking lot and reportedly turned into the path of Jackson, who was headed north. Jackson and a passenger in her vehicle, Quintin T. Crowell, 24, of Jackson suffered what appeared to be non-lifethreatening injuries and were transported by ambulance to Jackson Medical Center. Officer Jonathan Downey was the investigating officer.
