Hazwood

Nancy Roper Jackson Hazwood, lovingly known as "Nannie," 86, of Grove Hill, died Feb. 17, 2008 at her residence.

She was born Aug. 17, 1922. She was a member of Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Morvin. She was retired from Grove Hill Memorial Hospital as a part of the housekeeping staff.

Survivors include one son, George Marvin (Corine) Jackson, Whatley; one daughter, Thelma (Rev. L.D.) Jackson, Grove Hill; three sisters, Mae (DeLeon) Burroughs, Grove Hill, Lillian Flemmings, Dixmoor, Ill., Esther Robinson, Chicago, Ill.; two brothers, Calvin Coolidge (Mary) Roper, Cincinnati, Ohio, Dolphin (Lillie) Roper Jr., Indianapolis, Indiana; three grandchildren.

The service will be Saturday, Feb. 23 at 11 a.m. at Walnut Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Morvin with Rev. David Fuller to officiate. Andrews Funeral Home of Jackson will direct.
