Savage

Jimmy Bruce Savage, 67, of Chatom died Feb. 18, 2008 at Washington County Infirmary.

He was born Sept. 30, 1940. He

was a native of

Allen. He was a member of Hobson Assembly of God Church. He was retired from the Alabama National Guard of 32 years of service as rank sargeant. He also retired from Kimberly Clark Paper Mill.

Survivors include his wife, Voncille Savage, Chatom; one daughter, Lynn (Don) Welborn, Chatom; two brothers, Ray Savage, Wagarville, Andy (Gayle) Savage, Tibbie; one sister, Shirley (Glenn) Lawson, Saraland; one grandson.

The service was Feb. 20 at 2 p.m. at Hobson Assembly of God Church with Revs. Steve Foster and Jimmy Butts officiating. Burial was in Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Bigbee. Lathan Funeral Home of Chatom directed.

Active pallbearers were Jeff Lawson, Thomas Savage, Ricky Savage, Travis Abate, Jody Hayes and Brent Hutto.
