Scruggs

Minnie Lou Scruggs, 81, of Leroy died Feb. 17, 2008 at her residence.

She was born April 19, 1926. She was a native of Millry. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church in Leroy.

Survivors include her husband, William Steve Scruggs Jr., Leroy; one son, Tim (Diane) Holston, Jackson; one brother, Brandon Carpenter, York; one sister, Edna Earl Holston, Foley; three grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren.

A graveside service was Feb. 19 at 2 p.m. at Millry Methodist Cemetery. Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson directed.

Active pallbearers were Jason Holston, Joey Holston, Billy Sellers, Ray Davis and Donnie Carpenter.

Honorary pallbearers were Jim Bailey, David Ikner, Buster Carpenter and Lonnie Loper.
