Council

Royce Beddo Council, 72, of Fulton died Feb. 13, 2008 at Mobile Infirmary.

He was born March 5, 1935 in Greenwood. He was a member of Goodhope Baptist Church. He was a Plainer Operator at Scotch Lumber Company.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Council, Fulton; one son, Royce (Jenny) Council Jr., Grove Hill; three daughters, Cynthia (Garry) Parden, Grove Hill, Deborah (Mike) Williams, Thomasville, Betty Jean (Randy) Luker, Fulton; one sister, Wilda Knight, Greenwood; one brother, Pat Council, Silver Hill; nine grandchildren.

The service was Feb. 16 at 10 a.m. at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville with Revs. John Copeland and Grey Snodgrass officiating. Burial was at Goodhope Baptist Church Cemetery in Grove Hill.

Active pallbearers were Eddie Knight, Michael Cassity, Gerald Edge, Nick Gibson, Steve Council and Carl Council.
