Bulldogs fall in season diamond opener

The Clarke County High School baseball team traveled to Monroeville Monday afternoon and dropped a 9-7 contest to Monroe County. Hunter Cross had three hits including a solo homer and two doubles. Tyler Walker had a 3- run homer and a single. Justin Robinson added a double and a single. Chris Andrews had a pair of hits. Clay Weaver had a hit. Walker (0-1) took the loss. He gave up zero earned runs in three innings of work as errors put the Bulldogs in the hole early on in the contest. CCHS travels to Bayside on Friday.
