$167,000 landscaping underway

Magnolia trees were being set out along the Highway 43 bypass this week and other landscaping and signage will also be done as part of a $167,000 beautification project along the bypass at the north and south ends of Jackson Street, and at the Cobb Street (Old Highway 84) and Highway 84 intersections. Campbell Landscaping of Scottsboro won the contract to do the work. The project was made possible by a federal grant secured in 2006. Photo by Jim Cox
