Congratulations are extended to Sis. Nellie Carstar- phen, who was honored with an appreciation program several weeks ago. She has been the secretary for In The Garden A.O.H. Church of God of the Packers Bend community for many years. She was showered with accolades from her church family, friends, children and grandchildren. Overseer Jessie Henry is her pastor.

Bible Study classes resumed this week for Mt. Sinai AME Church and St. Thomas AME Church of Lower Peach Tree. If you missed Mt. Sinai's Tuesday night class at 6:30 p.m., you can attend St. Thomas' class on Thursday night at 6:30 p.m.

St. Thomas AME Church of Lower Peach Tree observed its annual Building Fund Program Day on Sunday, Feb. 17. Sunday School was held at 9:30 a.m. and worship at 12 noon.

Mt. Sinai AME Church of Packers Bend observed its annual Black History Program Sunday, Feb. 24. Rev. W.W. Nixon is the pastor of Mt. Sinai and St. Thomas AME Churches.

Chance Baptist Church also observed its annual Black History Program on Feb. 24. Rev. C.L. Marshall is the pastor.

Happy Birthday!
