Koen

Bettye Anne Coil Koen, 83, of Chatom died Feb. 24, 2008. She was a native of Oil Town, Okla.

Survivors include her son, George David Koen; one daughter, Ellen Koen (J. Edgar "Eddie") Brister; one brother, Bobby Ray (Lydia) Coil and his family; two sisters in-law, Reba Coil, Oklahoma, Louise McAlpine, Thomasville; one grandson, James David Brister, Mobile; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Koen Brister, Mobile; nephews, nieces and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, George W. "Pete" Koen.

The service was Feb. 27 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Chatom. Burial was in the Chatom Cemetery. Lathan Funeral Home of Chatom directed.
