Jackson
He was born Aug. 12, 1931 in Thomasville. He was a former U.S. Army paratrooper. He was a member of Midway Baptist Church. He was a member of Oliver Lodge #334 F & AM. He was a retired millwright. Survivors include his wife, Nell W. Jackson, Thomasville; four sons, Tim Jackson, Mobile, Billy (Anne) Williamson, Fulton, Junior Averitt, Fairhope, George (Tina) Hayes, Selma; four daughters, Vanessa (John) Bosarge, Satsuma, Wanda Averitt, Grove Hill, Dara Thompson, Springfield, MO, Sonja Jordan, Orrville; 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two greatgreat grandchildren. The service was Feb. 20 at 2 p.m. at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Rex Jackson officiating. Burial was in the Choctaw Corner Cemetery in Thomasville.
Active pallbearers were William Overton, Bill Jordan, William Jordan, William Hughes, Robert Fore and Roy Williams.
