Undercover drug buys lead to arrests in Toddtown Two search warrants were executed by local law enforcement in the Toddtown community Friday, Feb. 29. "Narcotics Investigator Steve Carlisle has been working in the Toddtown area for the past three weeks after we received complaints about drug trafficking in the area," said Chief Investigator Ron Baggette of the Clarke County Sheriff's Department. Several drug purchases were made by undercover agents. The first search warrant lawmen executed was at the residence of Melvin Bonner on Winn Road. Lawmen said they found 17.9 grams of crack cocaine. Bonner was arrested on three warrants of distribution of a controlled substance. He was also charged with possession of a controlled substance. Lawmen also seized a Browning 12 gauge shotgun, Remington .30-06, Ranger .22 and Stevens 16 gauge shotgun. The next search warrant was executed at the residence of Marshall Robinson on Friendly Road. Officers found several bags of what they said was marijuana and a bag of crack cocaine on the property and a large bag of marijuana in the residence. Michael Robinson exited the residence chewing on something which appeared to be a bag of marijuana. He was charged with possession of marijuana, first degree. About $1,600 cash was also confiscated from both residences. Carlisle said the investigation of illicit drugs is continuing.
Assisting the sheriff's department with the search warrants were the First Judicial Task Force, the Fourth Judicial Task Force and Coffeeville Police Department.
