Moye

Tom Farrish Moye, 69, of Coy died Feb. 18, 2008 at J. Paul Jones Hospital.

He was a member of the St. Emanuel No. 2 Baptist Church in Coy where he served as chairman of the deacon board and a member of the senior choir, superintendent of the Sunday school, vice president of the Willing Workers and a member of the Gospel Travelers.

Survivors include his wife, Eddie Mae Moye, Coy; one son, Arthur (Debra) Moye, Prattville; five daughters, Tommie Lee (Leon) Spencer, Atmore, Evelyn (George) Shamburger, Lynda Spears, all of Coy, Juanita (Willie) Carmichael, Fayetteville, Ga., Angela (Walter) Wells, Montgomery; two brothers, Frank (Annie Bell) Moye, Pensacola, Fla., Eli (Barbara) Moye, Rockford, Ill.; two sisters, Elvira Moye, Rockville, Ill., Estelle Moye, Coy; 26 grandchildren; 18 greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eli and Mary Eliza Moye; two brothers, Lindsey and Arthur Moye; two sisters, Emma and Mary Eliza Moye.

The service was Feb. 24 at the Camden School of Art & Technology with the Rev. Heustis Pledger Jr. officiating. Burial was in the St. Emanuel No. 2 Baptist Church Cemetery in Coy. Jackson Memorial Funeral Home directed.
