Rhone
He was born to the late Rev. Al and Ola Pugh Rhone on July 16, 1937 in Magnolia. He was a dedicated member of the Rock West A.M.E. Church of Thomasville. He was a member of the U.S. Army, upon his return from the army he moved to Tuscaloosa where he remained until death. He was a faithful and dedicated employee of the Cadence Bank for over 30 years. Survivors include two daughters, his caregiver, Minister Marilyn Rhone, Tuscaloosa, Sherlin Rhone, Richton Park, Ill.; one son, Rhondel Rone, Fulton; three stepchildren, Sherita (Gerald) Martin, Frankford, Ill., Marsha Pope, Melvin Rhone, Madison, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six nieces, grandnieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, a lifelong friend, Jimmy (Ora Nell) Dubose, Tuscaloosa. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. The service was Feb. 16 at 3 p.m. at Will's Funeral Service Chapel in Northport with Rev. William Reese officiating. Burial was at West Highland Memorial Gardens in Tuscaloosa. Active pallbearers were friends and family.
