CCARC's Jubilee Saturday in Jackson

The Clarke County Association for Retarded Citizens (CCARC) invites everyone to join in celebrating spring during its 12th Annual Spring Jubilee in Jackson this Saturday. The event is also a time to celebrate the capabilities of individuals with cognitive and developmental disabilities.

Activities will be at the CCARC center at 501 Forest Avenue in Jackson from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. The Fifth Annual Silent Art Auction will be from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The guest emcee will be John Rogers, announcer for WMBV.

Registration for the Sixth Annual 5K Run/1 Mile Fun Walk will be at 7:30 a.m. with the run beginning at 8:30 a.m. A preregistration discount is offered, (2007 Get Lost in Jackson Discount).

The Eighth Annual "Cruising for CCARC" sponsored by the Clarke County Southern Cruisers registration at 9 a.m. at Pic N Sav with the ride beginning at 10 a.m.

Canines on Parade, a dog fashion show will begin with a Doo-Dah parade at 12:30 and fashion show at 1 p.m.

A Gumbo Cook-off limited to 10 entries will be available. For more information call Suzette James at 251-247-2467 to register.

There will be activities for all ages, food, door prizes and fun for the whole family.
