Book donated to Grove Hill Public Library The Grove Hill Public Library is the recipient of the book, "Forests For All" by Melanie Richardson Dundy. "Forests For All" was donated by the Alabama Forest Owners' Association Educational Fund through a grant from the Alabama Forests Forever Foundation. In making its donation, the Alabama Forest Owners Association wants to provide sound information about forests and forest management to the children (and future forest owners) in Clarke County. If you want to pick up a book that your kids will thoroughly enjoy while they learn about the importance of forests and forest management, "Forests For All" is the book for you. With the help of Bo The Bull Elk, J.D. Beaver and their very entertaining forest friends, children learn the importance of forests, the measures being taken to meet the demand for wood and wood products while ensuring the future health of forests and the need for all of us to work together to protect the future of our forests. The book, which is intended for children from ages 4 to 10, is fun, interactive and full of good information. Children become aware of just how much the forests affect their everyday lives whether they live near a forest or not.
The Alabama Forest Owners' Association (AFOA) is a nonprofit association dedicated to providing management and ownership assistance to current and future owners of the 23 million acres of forested land in Alabama.
