Jordan-Hare Stadium is Alabama's number one sports destination

Approximately 677,500 people attended a football game at Jordan Hare Stadium in Auburn last year, ranking it number one in attendance among sports venues in Alabama.

Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa ranked second with attendance of 645,000; the Talladega Superspeedway was third with approximately 500,000; Montgomery Biscuits Baseball was fourth with 318,900; Birmingham Barons Baseball was fifth with 280,171; Huntsville Stars Baseball was sixth with 250,000; Mobile Baybears Baseball was seventh with 232,238; Barber Mortosports Race Track in Birmingham was eighth with 157,000; the GMAC Bowl in Mobile was ninth with 36,932; and Heritage Golf in Oneonta was tenth with 30,000. Attendance figures used to compile the list were provided to the Alabama Tourism Department by local tourism organizations.

Attendance categories include admission charged attractions, free attractions, events, parks and natural destinations, sport destinations, theme parks, and shopping destinations. For more information contact the Alabama Tourism Department or visit www.alabama.travel.
