Spring turkey season opens March 15

The Spring season for Choctaw, Clarke, Marengo, Monroe, Washington and Wilcox counties will be March 15 through April 30. Fall season just concluded two months ago in Clarke and Monroe counties.

The bag limit for this area is one turkey a day, gobbler only, with a combined five for the spring and fall season.

Most area hunters do not disturb the turkey population during the fall season, allowing the younger male turkeys an opportunity to get some age on them.
