No Rev. Al Sharpton, but a rousing message nonetheless

Due to complications with airflight, Rev. Al Sharpton could not appear Sunday at the New Greater First Baptist Church in Thomasville. No matter, Mayor Sheldon Day (bottom middle photo) still proclaimed it Al Sharpton Day in the city. Frank Andrew and the church's Deacons (left photo) and the choir (above, with soloist Melba Fuller)warmed up the capacity crowd for Assistant Pastor Clabon Autry, who brought the inspirational message.
