Amateur photographers are preparing for the third annual photography contest and exhibition to be held in Grove Hill on April 25 and 26 at the Clarke County Museum. "Photography In Your Own Back Yard" is an event sponsored by The Arts Council of Grove Hill and the Arts Council of Thomasville to promote an interest in art through photography.

There are divisions for middle school, high school, and adult photographers. Submissions can be made at the public libraries in Grove Hill, Thomasville, and Jackson, at the Town Hall in Coffeeville and at the Chamber of Commerce in Grove Hill.

The deadline for turning in entries is April 11. General rules may be found on The Grove Hill Arts Council web site, www.grovehillartscouncil.com.

This event is made possible by the Alabama State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment of the Arts.
