Students building social skills through 'Tribes'

Ms. Hazel Garrick, a former First Grade teacher at Grove Hill Elementary School, has been reading stories to students and sharing Character Education skills through a unique program called "Tribes."

The Tribes Learning Communities process is to create safe and caring environments in which all children can be successful members. The students participate during the reading of a story to build social skills.

These skills help to make the classroom a positive environment where behavior and learning are most effective.
