Good turnout to clean up Old Highway 5

Over 100 residents and volunteers along Old Highway 5 between Grove Hill and Thomasville picked up several loads of garbage along the scenic route Friday and Saturday. Virginia Harrigan, one of the organizers, was appreciative of everyone's efforts and challenged others to clean up the roadways near their homes. She urged those who litter to think twice before throwing trash out of their vehicles. See more on Page 4A. Top photo by Barry H. Hendrix Right photo by Virginia Harrigan
