Scott

Dan Scott Sr., 80, of Gainestown, died March 11, 2008 at Kindra Health Care Facility in Mobile. He was born Feb. 26, 1928.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Scott, Gainestown; six sons, Daniel (Laura) Scott Jr., Choctaw Bluff, Minister Arthur (Ida) Scott, Thomasville, Tommie (Celestine) Scott, Zimco, Clifton Scott and Alfred Scott, both of Mobile, David (Pamela) Scott, Tuscaloosa; three daughters, Olivia (Cornelious) Williams, Rosie Bush, Aree Scott, all of Mobile; 21 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The service was March 15 at 1 p.m. at Rocky Mount Baptist Church in Barlow Bend. Burial was in Union Chapel Cemetery in Barlow Bend. Jackson Memorial Funeral Home in Jackson directed.
