Lady Gators win four straight last week

The Clarke Prep School, ranked number seven in the AISA, jumped all over Taylor Road 14-1 last Friday in Hope Hull.

Tess Ackerman led the Lady Gators at the plate by going 3- for-3 with a homer and double. Haley Hill went 3-for-3 with two doubles. Courtney Dunagan went 2-for-3. Jessica McKinley went 2-for-4. Anna Hicks, Andrea Bagley, Stephanie Sales and Libby Harrigan each had a hit.

Kiley Dunagan took the win as she struck out eight and allowed five hits.

Clarke Prep beat Wilcox Academy 16-6 on Thursday in Camden.

McKinley had the hot bat as she went 2-for-5 with a double, a home run and four RBI. Ackerman went 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI. Corrie Allen went 1- for-4 with a 2-run homer. C. Dunagan was 2-for-5 with an RBI. Whitney Gavin was 2-for-2. Kristan Schultz and Autumn Suddreth each had a hit.

Allen earned the win in six innings of work. She allowed six hits, striking out nine and walking two.

The Lady Gators earned an area win last Tuesday as they beat Cottage Hill 10-5 in Grove Hill.

McKinley led the offensive charge as she went 2-for-2. Schultz was 2-for-3. Allen, Hill and Gavin each had a hit.

On Monday, March 10 Clarke Prep won both ends of a split double-header in Grove Hill.

In the second game they beat Patrician 8-0.

Ackerman had a 3-run homer. Hill had a triple and three RBI. McKinley went 2-for-2 with an RBI. Allen added a hit.

Allen also got the win. She pitched all seven frames, allowing two hits, fanning 10 and walking two.

In the opener CPS won 9-2.

Allen went 1-for-3 with a double and four RBI. Schultz was 1- for-1 with two RBI. Hicks went 2-for-3. Ackerman had a hit as well.

K. Dunagan picked up the win.

Clarke Prep traveled to Monroeville Tuesday to play Monroe Academy. On Thursday (today) they go to Selma to play Morgan. Then the Lady Gators will take the week off for Spring Break before returning to action on March 28-29 at the Faith Tournament in Mobile.
