Clarke County drops game to Bayside Academy

The Clarke County High School Bulldogs lost 11-5 to Bayside Academy Monday afternoon in Daphne.

Hunter Cross led CCHS at the plate as he went 3-for-4 with a double. Adrien Snell went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Justin Robinson went 1-for-3 with a double and three RBI. Tamichael Burroughs went 1-for-3 with an RBI. Dwayne Owens and Bubba Frazier each had a hit.

Zach Watford (1-2) shouldered the loss. He gave up five hits, six runs and two walks. Josh Watford allowed six hits working in relief.

On Saturday the Bulldogs beat the Leroy Bears 10-6 in Grove Hill.

Cross was enfuego, going 2-for-4 with two 2-run homer, and five RBI. Robinson was 1-for-3 with a 2-run home run. Frazier went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles. Tyler Walker went 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI. Josh Watford went 1-for-4 with an RBI. Rashad Snell went 1-for-3 with an RBI. Owens had a double. Burroughs had a hit. A. Snell had an RBI.

Robinson (2-1) earned the win. He tossed six innings, allowed six runs, six hits and struck out one. J. Watford threw the last inning.

The Bulldogs dropped a tight area game on Friday 7-6 to Mobile Christian in Grove Hill.

Cross and Robinson each went 2- for-4. Walker had a 2-run homer. Owens had a double and an RBI. A. Snell went 2-for-3 with two RBI. J. Watford had a hit.

Walker (1-2) was the hard-luck loser, throwing four innings, allowing six runs and five hits.

Tuesday CCHS traveled to Millry to play the Wildcats. Friday they host Washington County in an area double-dipper. On Saturday they play Bayside and Sumter County in a split double-header.
