revival

Mt. Gilead Baptist Church of Carlton will continue its revival Thursday, (tonight), March 27, and will end Friday, March 28 at 7 p.m. The evangelist will be Bryant Chapman. Rev. L.E. Bush is the pastor.

spring revival

Mt. Zion No. 2 Baptist Church continues its spring revival Thursday, (tonight), March 27 and will end Friday, March 28 at 7 p.m. nightly.

The evangelist for the week will be Rev. J. S. Wilkes (former pastor of the New Greater First Baptist Church of Thomasville).

Teresa Coates is the clerk. Rev. Cory J. Pruitt is the pastor.

Mackey Branch

Youth Revival

continues

Mackey Branch No. No. 2 Baptist Church will continue its youth revival Thursday, (tonight), and will end Friday, March 28 at 7:30 p.m. nightly. Rev. Alphonso Brown will be the speaker for the week. Ethel Evans is the secretary. Rev. Dave Adams Jr. is the pastor.

Oak Grove singing

Oak Grove Baptist Church in the Chilton community will hold a fifth Saturday night singing March 29 at 7 p.m. Local singers will be featured, Good News of Grove Hill along with area churches. Refreshments will be served afterwards. Pastor Morris Hill invites everyone to attend.

Nicholsville

benefit singing

There will be a benefit singing Saturday, March 29 at 6:30 p.m. at Nicholsville Church of God featuring Glory Road and other local singers for Wanda Smith who has cancer and no insurance. For more information call 1-334- 636-5551.

Grove Hill MP showing "Passion

of the Christ"

Grove Hill Methodist Protestant Church will be showing "The Passion of the Christ" Saturday, March 29 at 7 p.m. There will be no charge. Also, you are invited to be a part of the Singspiration Sunday, March 30 at 6 p.m. The Praise and Worship Team will be singing. Anyone who would like to come and a sing a special is welcomed. The church is located on Highway 43 north of Grove Hill across from Lathan Funeral Home. Rev. Benny Crawford is the pastor.

Sunflower to

honor pastor

Sunflower AOH Church of God located on McFadden Street in Thomasville will honor pastor, Elder Samuel L. Calhoun Saturday, March 29 at 6 p.m. This will be a one night affair. The church will celebrate Calhoun's 38 years of preaching, 24 years of singing and his 72nd birthday. The special guest will be Rev. Hubert (Hubie) Baker and the Believers of Mobile. Other invited groups are: Spiritual Kings of Dixons Mills, Humble Spirits, Central Gospel Singers and the Life Tech Gospel Group, all of Thomasville. Master of Ceremony will be Winfred Holt of Thomasville.

Whatley First

Assembly

of God revival

Whatley First Assembly of God will be in revival starting Sunday, March 30 through Saturday, April 5 with Rev. Jim DeWitt. Rev. DeWitt is a former announcer on the radio in Thomasville. The service on Sunday will begin at 10 a.m. and at 6 p.m. Services will start at 7 p.m. nightly. The drama team from Magnolia Assembly of God will do a drama in the Sunday night service. The membership of Whatley First Assembly of God invites everyone to attend. Rev. Justin "Dusty" Coover is the pastor.

Libby Baptist

Libby Baptist Church will have its annual Dickinson/Fulton Youth Day Sunday, March 30 beginning with Sunday school at 10 a.m. and worship at 11:30 a.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. Edward Robinson of Mobile. Rev. Wiley McMillian is the pastor.

Monday nights

Antioch Baptist Church will have Marvelous Monday nights through Monday, March 31 at 7 p.m. There will be a different speaker, special music and singing each night. Rev. Lon Baxter is the pastor.

Tompkins singing

Tompkins Baptist Church will feature Good News who will be singing for a cure Saturday, April 5 at 6 p.m. Donations will be taken for Relay for Life. Peniel sanctuary

dedication

Peniel Baptist Church located at 1730 McVay Road of Jackson will have a sanctuary dedication service Sunday, April 6 beginning at 9:45 a.m. with Bible study and worship at 11 a.m. Lunch will be in the fellowship hall following worship service. Dedication service will be at 2 p.m. in the sanctuary. All members, former members and former pastors are especially invited to attend. Rev. Shannon Moses is the pastor.

Indian Ridge

Women's Day

Indian Ridge Baptist Church located at 8 Indian Ridge Road in Whatley will have its Women's Day program Sunday, April 6 at 2 p.m. The address will be given by Ms. Alesia R. Norwood. Sis. Bernice Raine is the clerk. Rev. John Lynum is the pastor.

St. Peter 143rd

anniversary

The St. Peter Baptist Church located on Simmons Creek Road in Grove Hill will celebrate its 143rd church anniversary Sunday, April 6 at the 11 a.m. worship service. Rev. Calvin Tate will be the speaker for the event.
